Earth Hour-Stop Global Warming

Earth Hour is being organized by the international non-profit WWF (stands for World Wildlife Fund, not World Wrestling Federation), which hopes that one billion people in more than 1,000 cities will turn out their lights for an hour this evening -- creating a wave of evening darkness around the globe. "Two years ago, Earth Hour began in one city, in one country, when more than 2.2 million households and businesses in Sydney turned off their lights for one hour," according to a WWF statement. "Last year, Earth Hour reached 370 cities and towns in more than 35 countries across 18 time zones."
